Hey everyone, it’s Kyle again. I am glad to tell you that things are still going well and I am gaining a lot of range in both arms and legs as well. I also still feel stronger and have more energy throughout the day. Things are going great and I hope they continue to progress.

We have been home for two weeks now and with all of my therapy I feel great. My arms still keep getting better and I pulled my legs back toward my wheelchair by myself the other day. I also have more energy during the day which helps with all of my trips to Cozumel and Starbucks. I just got back from the baseball field (I got soaked) where I ran into my old teacher and I have decided to teach her science class about stem cells and all of the great things they can do for so many people. It will be awesome.

Things have been great since we have returned home. I have been to Cozumel once and am going again tomorrow with my friend Sam. Starbucks knows my name and order again already. Although I haven’t noticed any more improvements yet, the ones I gained in China are easier in my “real” chair as I predicted. I start therapy again on Monday and am hoping to receive it 6 days a week, and if I can’t, we will do it here. The new Buckle rocks and can’t wait to get a job so I can actually buy something. It is great to see all of my friends and family again and we all want to thank everyone again for all the support we were given during this period of our lives.

We are leaving here in an hour for the airport. It’s is 7:00 am on Wednesday morning and we will be home at 10:50 tonight. Even-though we are traveling 22hrs we get to relive Wednesday twice. We can’t wait to land in Chicago. Thank-you all again for your support and prayers. Can’t wait to see you all.

It’s Kyle and I just received my last stem cell injection! It is finally hitting us that we leave soon. Tomorrow will be a normal day with 2 therapy secessions and acu-puncture then electric wave. We are almost done packing and we can’t wait to get home. I can’t wait for real food and baseball. If anyone goes to Cozumel within the next couple of days will you please give them a warning that I am coming home and I will be there often. I had a coffee across the street then they took me straight up for my treatment so I am full of energy and am thinking of playing Wii bowling out in the lobby if Andrew is feeling up to it (he may not want me to beat him, so he will say no). Although I hated the flight over here, I am excited to get on that plane and I keep singing Jet Airliner by Steve Miller Band. I will only write one more time before I get home. Hopefully I will have big news tomorrow about more improvements before we leave.
P.S. Is the new Buckle open yet?

It’s Penny writing. Kyle is busy hanging out with his new friend Lawrence. We had a busy day, but was a little disappointed in the zoo. Unfortunately when we arrived we had discovered that it was not accessible for Kyle so we had to make the best of the situation. We saw very little but was just happy to be outdoors. We did get to our favorite restaurant and enjoyed our last meal out before we leave for home. We have a busy schedule the next two days. Kyle will have his 8th and final injection tomorrow. And we will be busy getting ready for our departure. We will spend a lot of time with the therapist doing reevaluation so they can see how much progress Kyle continues to have along with our final meetings with the doctors. I will have Kyle write again tomorrow after his last injection. I am happy to say we are almost home from a journey that has given us much hope and inspiration. We are looking forward to so much continues success. Thank you all for all your hope and prayers.

Today my mom, Andrew, and I went to the Holiday Inn for lunch because we were told the last time we were there that they had a “lunch menu,” not a good idea. Lucky they let us order off the dinner menu other wise we would have been eating EXTREMELY nasty Chinese food. Since the one thing Mr. Mullen said not to bring him back was some cheesy chopsticks, we got (stole) some really high quality ones from the restaurant for him! You’re Welcome. But instead we had a good meal then went to the Chenyang Century Park, Qingdao which is down the street from the hospital. After getting roasted in the sun for a few hours, we hopped in a taxi and returned to the hospital before heading to the Lotte Mart for our daily coffee fix. After my seventh injection I have yet to notice any difference and have been tired today but that is common after the injection. We are awaiting my eighth and final injection which is Monday and the next big date will be our departure on Wednesday! (Not that we’re excited) Tomorrow we are going to the zoo to hopefully see some crazy Chinese animals or just our everday ones from back in the states, not to sure. Then we are going to our favorite restaurant here which is Napoli, an Italian restaurant like back home. I will write again on Monday before my last injection. But for now I am heading out to the lobby to celebrate what could be the weakest 4th of July ever, although we are making the best of it with the other families.

C.C. Sabathia is one of the best left handed pitchers of the last decade, and the reason you can call me C.C. is because my left hand and wrist are doing amazing. Today I could lift my left wrist up almost without hesitation. Also, when I was ”arm wrestling” Andrew today he said he really couldn’t bend his fingers when normally wouldn’t even think about it. Okay, maybe I am not ready for the Majors but I am feeling great and have alot more energy throughout the day. We are trying to keep busy in order to pass time and we are excited about my 7th injection tomorrow. I will be sure to keep all of you posted on any more progress.

Since my 6th injection I can now roll to each side 40 times before becoming tired! Also we are looking into purchasing an electric wave therapy machine to bring home with us because that will be good for me even after the 9 months. What the machine does is tence up every muscle near the pads that get strapped to each arm and leg and feels awesome. But enough about me. Brewers are in sole possession of first and the Cubs are not in 3rd, but 4th! YES!!! We are on the countdown and believe it will go fast now since I have 2 injections in one week instead of just one. Also I found my new favorite coffee drink at Angel in Us across the street when we went to the Loti Mart to waste time between PTs today. It is a carmel mocha just like home. Thanks for reading and thinking of us often. I know we think of you as well, and can’t wait to get home.

I just finished my 6th injection and am feeling great. After my injection I always get a boost of energy and am ready to do jumping jacks. I am so ready to see all of you and am already planning what I am going to do when I get home (Starbucks sounds great!). My new “familia” takes me to get a coffee across the street everyday that we don’t have injections, and I really enjoy spending time with them wich helps the homesick feeling. Lawrence, my new friend, had his first spinal today so we couldn’t go, but another family brought me one anyways when they went over. I am pumped that the Brewers are still in first even though they are tied. Baseball is one thing I have missed the most since I have been gone. Also Cozumel will be my “home away from home” when I return because I am craving Mexican food So bad. I will wright again tomorrow morning (for me) letting you all know how I am feeling and hopefully I will have big news for you then.
