Happy 4th

July 4th, 2009

Today my mom, Andrew, and I went to the Holiday Inn for lunch because we were told the last time we were there that they had a “lunch menu,” not a good idea.  Lucky they let us order off the dinner menu other wise we would have been eating EXTREMELY nasty Chinese food.   Since the one thing Mr. Mullen said not to bring him back was some cheesy chopsticks, we got (stole) some really high quality ones from the restaurant for him! You’re Welcome. But instead we had a good meal then went to the Chenyang Century Park, Qingdao which is down the street from the hospital.   After getting roasted in the sun for a few hours, we hopped in a taxi and returned to the hospital before heading to the Lotte Mart for our daily coffee fix.  After my seventh injection I have yet to notice any difference and have been tired today but that is common after the injection.  We are awaiting my eighth and final injection which is Monday and the next big date will be our departure on Wednesday!  (Not that we’re excited)  Tomorrow we are going to the zoo to hopefully see some crazy Chinese animals or just our everday ones from back in the states, not to sure.  Then we are going to our favorite restaurant here which is Napoli, an Italian restaurant like back home.  I will write again on Monday before my last injection.  But for now I am heading out to the lobby to celebrate what could be the weakest 4th of July ever, although we are making the best of it with the other families.

Good morning! Happy 4 th of July. You ‘re not missing anything here. Going to rain all day. I am supposed to volunteer at the Evansville festivities, not sure if will happen because of the weather. I was there last night, got home about 11:30 and here I am on the computer at 6:00 am. Joey is at his dads this weekend. Sharing Kids sucks. Can’t remember if you guys are coming in on 9th or 10th. On the 10th (my Birthday) my friend is coming home from Indiana for our class reunion (sat 11th) and bringing his Harley. Taking me for an ride all day. Very excited. Then have a mixer at Stokes Fri night. Should be a great time! Been working on the side of my house. Cleaning up all the weeds and such. Should have started about 13 yrs ago when I got this thing. You know I don’t like to jump into anything too quickly. Sammy got out of the gate the other day. Joey went one way I went the other. I found him then couldn’t find Joey. Got in the truck and found Joey quite a ways away standing on the corner with tears rolling down his face. He was very happy to know Sammy was safe and sound. Jez that kids is cute! Anyway, will look foreward to seeing you Sat. You guys wont be able to leave the house for about a week so everyone can see you all. Miss all of you. Stay strong not much time left.

    Love Kimmy

Well like they say, when in China do, what the Chinese do!!! Oh, that”s not right, I think it has something to do with lemons and lemonade! Have fun anyway. De Felice got robbed by Blue yesterday even though they still left 10 guys on base, can’t win games like that. Have a great 4th, see you soon.
