Yesterday after Bradley’s spinal treatment he ended up waking up after about a half an hour which left him with 5 and a half hours left to lay flat on his back. He says it feels like he is in prison when he has to lay still for that long. This time however it was magnified by his feeling nauseous and having a headache. He eventually threw up and was feeling so anxious that I could not keep him laying down for the remaining time. It was not fun!! We called for the doctor but he did not seem too concerned…I guess it is just a side effect of the treatment. A lot of the children who got treatments yesterday ended up getting sick and we all were concerned. After a lot of discussion we decided that the kids were not hydrated enough which is important they say for a successful treatment. Some of the kids IV liquids were started to late and Bradley’s kept backing up and not dripping properly. It is hard to communicate with the doctors and nurses here. We do have interpreters but it is still two different ways of doing things or two different cultures. It is hard to explain. Do not get me wrong the interpreters are great and very helpful I just wish they had someone like Kirshner, an American medical consultant for the company who has a lot of knowledge about the whole treatment, around all the time. She has been here and is coming back while we are still here. Things seem to run much smoother when she is around. Nevertheless, Bradley got up and took a shower and then he felt fine. He went out and chatted for about an hour then came back to the room and fell asleep for the night. He only has one IV and one spinal treatment left. We are on the home stretch!
He was feeling fine when he got up this morning. We hung around the hospital awhile and then went to Cheryl’s hotel room to get showers. When we came back to the hospital a couple of families were going down town to Pizza Hut and to shop. We decided to tag along. We started out at a shop that tailor makes you clothes. You pick your fabric and style that you want and they measure you and make it in a couple of days. It is not very expensive either…things are cheap here. Macie decided to have a dress made and I cannot wait to see it!! Pizza Hut was very nice. They had some stuff on their menu that we would never have at home like fried squid rings, shrimp, etc. We ordered the American special and it was great!! Later we went shopping and Bradley found a transformer store and got a transformer for himself and one for a little boy named Glen. Glen has ONH also and his birthday is tomorrow. He likes transformers too so Bradley and him have been playing with them together.
Well there is some exciting news to report about Macie. She says she is able to read things from father away now!! We are so excited for her! Some of the other parents are saying they can see a difference in Bradley’s eye movements. I do think that when he is focusing he is able to hold his eyes more still. When he is not focusing on something though they do seem to still move quite a bit. Nevertheless we will put our hope and trust in Christ and continue to pray for a healing!!

Hey guys!
Amy I must say, you provide more detail than Todd…LOL just kidding Todd!!! Anyways, glad to know that there seems to be some improvement with Bradley. God has this all planned out, we just get the priviledge to sit back and watch it all unfold. Before you know it, you and Bradley will be on the plane and headed back home.
It was great to see Todd on Sunday. He told us of some stories about the cleanliness and food there. I must say, The Great Wall will no longer be a part of my appetite. Well take care and talk to you soon.

Ni Hao Everyone,
Well Summer has finally hit the Carolinas today- 102 on the beach, but a cold front is suppose to cool us down tonight . 86 tomorrow we hope. Is it that hot in Quigdao? Hope not anyway. Yes sir, you are almost done, Just one more treatment and you can put this behind you. It seems so fast to me but I bet it’s dragging on for you Bradley. Next thing you know you will be stepping off the plane onto good old American soil. Then we can celebrate your Homecoming. Do I hear Ice Cream and Cake for everyone. You Bet. It is real funny that you are having an issue with the food Amy. On the News here they are saying that the Olympians are worried about the food also. The chinese seem to not have the control over the quality of food like we do here in the States. Will be interesting to see how this all pans out. Todd said you might get to see the Olympic Torch run by. It will be worth it even if you have to travel a little to see it. Well it’s my turn to get lazy and lay under the porch, This heat does make you slow. Cun gung dae until tomorrow- God Bless you all and we pray for you everyday . Love Grandpa and Grandma Yvonne

Hi Amy,
I miss you!
I love the pictures! Bradley looks so mature, like he has grown up several years in the last few weeks. I know God is working in his life! He is so brave; remind him that Jesus is always there and He will never give him more than he can handle. I am so happy to hear he is seeing improvements; we have all been praying for him. I had a dream about him going to back to China, only he was a man. I will tell you more about it one day soon on Chi Chi Island.
Did you have frog legs or turle soup for dinner? Yummy!!! I had ice cream from the Island Creamery and I am sending some to you in my heart right now! (I had coconut and know you do not like that…so expect Moose Tracks Chocolate in your dreams tonight as my gift!)
Love,
Kelley
PS do not forget your Gymbucks?

I love the pics too Amy. They are great! I hope somebody is taking some great pics with you in them.
I’m sorry the 5th treatment didn’t go smoothly. I read what Macie’s mom wrote on her blog about it. We’ll pray that things go better the next time for everybody.
I like Kelley’s gift idea of chocolate ice cream. Mike got some Bunny Tracks “up to your knees in chocolate.” last week. It was too good: as good or better than it’s name.
We think about you guys all the time.

It must have been hard for Bradley to lay still for so long. Bobby would have exploded!!! I am sure Todd would too.
I am sure you will see improvements over time. You should get a dress made for you. It would be neat. Tell Chery I said hello. I tried to call you on the webcam the other night, but it was busy. I wanted to introduce you to our Amish friends. They were amazed they could see you so far away. Angie U.

Hello Bradley and Amy! I follow your blog and am excited to hear that it won’t be long now before you will be headed home and ready to school shop!
Bradley, you have been so brave throughout these treatments. I am so proud of you. The Lord is giving you strength every day.
They are starting on the building project at school. They have dug up the courtyard in the back by the gym. It should be fun to watch as the new addition gets built throughout the school year!
Praying for you all!

I miss you guys! I cannot wait for you to come home..
Its great to see that you are experiencing some change in Bradley’s eyes. Well, me and the kids went to McDonalds last night for supper here on the island.. no squid or anything but we do have a new Latte and cafe section.. Pretty neat! All is quiet here on the island. The Pony Penning crowd will be here soon.. Summer is flying by.. We’ll get beach time when you guys return!
Cheryl- its nice you could also be there with Amy & Bradley. I wish I could have gone too..
Be safe and experience all you can while there. We’re thinking of you Bradley!!

Hey Tullous Family,
Just got to get caught up on Bradley’s news. My family has been out of town for 2 1/2 weeks. Sounds like things are going fine. You all are still in my prayers. My church congregation has also been praying for Bradley.
See you in August,
Mrs. Webster
