    Hello, Jordan, Welcome!!

  • 12. Sabrina (Jordan's mom)  |  March 28th, 2008 at 3:42 pm

Hey everyone!! We’re here!! One more take off and I would have come back home. Jordan slept better on the flight over than I did and has been an excellent traveller. I want to thank everyone again for the prayers that have been offered on our behalf and ask that they do not stop now. China is a beautiful place and is very clean, our hotel is amazing and we have a wonderful view of the city. The city has around 5 million people and is considered “small”–they would love Decatur/Trinity! One funny–I asked a lady what time it was and she replied 14:11 and I thought she said 40:11 and mouth here said “forty eleven” she said no eleven minutes after 14 o’clock. She thought it was a good laugh also. Mine and Jordan’s lunch bill was 126 RMB which translates into $21 approximately but I cannot get used to 100’s in paying a bill. Well enough of this I am going to go give Jordan a hot bath and then I am taking a HOT shower and we are going to bed and watch tv and try to stay awake until after the sun goes down. I hope everyone is well and I will try to “blog” daily.

    Love to all,

    Sabrina and Jordan

Sabrina and Jordan arrived in China at 9pm our time on the 27th. They are fine, have a nice hotel and get stared at by everyone.

  • 14. Katrina Smith  |  March 29th, 2008 at 12:07 am

I am thinking and praying for you both while you are in China. I hope you know how much you are missed here in Decatur. I will be keeping a check on your progress.

Hi Jordan & Sabrina, Hope you’re getting to see some sights before you get down to business! Your entire family is on my mind and in my heart. Richard, have you served Spam to Taelor yet??? We will have to meet you two for dinner one night and get you some real food! Love to you all!

  • 16. Linda  |  March 29th, 2008 at 7:35 pm

    Hi, Jordan! Hi, Sabrina!
It was good to hear you made the trip safely.
I’ll bet you were two weary travelers. That was a really
long airplane ride, wasn’t it, Jordan? Now you know China is a long ways away. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity, so enjoy it as much as possible and see a few sights if you can. Everyone is “watching” and following your journey. Our hearts and prayers are with you both. Uncle Norlee says hi, too.
    Take pictures! Love you both……..xo

Richard, glad the flight went well and everyone arrived safely. This is such an exciting and yet challenging time for everyone. I hope and pray that everything is successful. Whatever you need, just let me know.

OK I am going to try one more time–bear with me because I have had some trouble with internet connections here.

It is Tuesday, April 1 here and Jordan has just had her first electrical wave therapy and it went well. She got tired of having to lie still for 20 minutes but other than that no problems. She is scheduled for her first accupuncture at 2:30 - 3:00 today with physical therapy from 4:00 to 4:50 every day without a treatment. Her first treatment is Wednesday by IV some time between 2:30 and 4:30 in the afternoon. Her first lumbar puncture is scheduled for friday from 2:30 to 4:30 pm. Stem cells are done on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 2:30 to 4:30 pm and they are picked up from the airport right before this and brought straight to the hospital. I know this because after we got off the plane here Friday we went around to the cargo delivery area and picked up the days stem cells and brought them to the hospital. In addition to Jordan please pray for Ricky from TXa 40 -year-old LT. on the police force who was going to help a fellow officer and a 17-year-old tried to beat the light and Ricky swerved to avoid him-flipped his vehicle three times and is paralyzed from his waist down. He has been here with his mom (his wife left him) two weeks and told me he seems to be getting some feeling back in his internal organs, This gave me encouragement. Thanks so much for the prayers–I really hope this blog entry works.

Sabrina and Jordan- In your honor- I’m getting my accupuncture done tomorrow. If you need it when you get back- have the doctors write out what she needs and I’m sure Dr. Hunter will be glad to help. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Hope everything goes well. It’s a shame that this procedure can not be accomplished in the States. Stem Cell treatment holds great promise for many diseases. Hopefully, this will be the magic bullet to put her disease at rest. Thoughts and prayers with the family.
