ne hou = hello

Hello to everyone

Luke and I have made it to China safely after a very long plane trip and are beginning to get settled in.  Qingdao is a crazy place!!!  All the staff, translators and other patients on this floor are very nice.  There are 15 families here now for stem cell therapy from all over the world; Ireland, South Africa, Australia, Canada and a majority from US.  Luke starts his therapy and acupuncture Monday and I get a schedule of when his 1st stem cell treatment will be. All the Chinese nurses call Luke, Lukeee and one calls his funny boy because his 1st instinct is to smile at them.

We went to the Chinese market. It is the busiest place I have ever been it is the size of 2 Walmarts stacked on top of each other and filled with enough people to make a small city.  They have food there that would make some people throw up just to smell it. Tanks full of live fish, turtles in bowls and the insides of animals that I didn’t even know people could eat without getting very ill.  I have been on two taxi rides and the only time they stop is to let us out, lots of honking and getting as close to other vehicles as they can. There are no carseats, I just hold on to Luke tight. I saw a man, woman and child, about Codys age riding on a motorcycle, it looked like fun I am going to see if Cheryl and Cody want to try it when i get home, I’m sure Cody will.

Thanks to everyone that has made this trip possible for Lukeee, we cannot express to everyone how much we love and appreciate our family and  friends.

Clint

Must be where they started Fear Factor…Glad to hear you made it and sounds like the time change hasn’t thrown you off too much. We will keep you in our prayers as he begins his therapy. Take care!

P.S. You need to try at least one thing that you don’t know what it is while you’re there, and no more beef jerky for breakfast!

    Clint:
So glad you made it safely! Sounds like a crazy experience already! Just know that not a day goes by that someone is asking me about you two guys-and offering up their prayers. Please keep the notes coming, Shar Schnake

Clint, Thank you for keeping us all posted on Luke’s progress & your journey. You are all in my thoughts & prayers. I hear you just can’t escape the town of Medina, amazing that you can go halfway across the world & find someone going thru the same journey, from such a place!
Keep up the good work & give Luke some hugs & kisses from Aunt Cathy.
