Let me begin by thanking you all for the thoughts and prayers on my behalf. Please continue to pray. I’ll begin with the trip over. If you are not a seasoned traveler you will read up on all you can find and try to be prepared for this, but when the plan was put into action it didn’t really go as expected. Because of the circulation problems I get cold easily. People, planes are COLD! I shivered the whole way. Plane aisles are narrow and on the China flight I was carried on and off the plane. We were met at the airport and transported to a wonderful hotel. The next morning we were taken to the hospital and they immediately began working on me. Although to look at the hospital, which would remind you of one in an old movie, the care is awesome. Doors are narrow and Roger has to carry me a lot. There is no food served in the hospital. So, three times a day we have to figure out what to eat and how to get it. Let me tell you, just because it has an American label it isn’t American food! We have started a small kitchen in our room. Communication is a real thrill, but we have an interpreter available in case we get into a bind. The doctors are great and the smiling, happy nurses are friendly and do awesome work. I will have my first treatment Monday. Treatment options are still being decided, but I believe they’ll make the best decisions for my case. I have confidence in these folks from what they’ve done so far. Family and friends we will try to get on here as much as we can. We are so busy that finding time for the computer is hard. Please pray for us and the doctors and nurses we trust so much. I appreciate all of you. Randy

Roger
Hello everyone! Thanks for checking on us. We are settling in and things are moving quickly. The wonderful attitude of everyone here makes you feel so good. These are a happy bunch of people. Smiles abound! I was very impressed with how quickly they began working on Randy. And his attitude is just awe inspiring. He has faith in God and faith in the people taking care of him. Continue to pray. Oh, and for those of you that know me, Wal-Mart in China is just like Wal-Mart back home!!
