Since he was three months old Seth has had a team of therapists working to overcome challenges presented by Cerebral Palsy and Optic Nerve Hypoplasia. He was a bad eater. At two years old he wouldn't sit up or crawl. He had the barest of light perception but his eyes would not dilate nor would he respond to stimuli or objects around him. In our new video we caught up with his grandmother, Sandy Martin, in the US to hear how Seth's doing four months after receiving adult stem cell treatment in China. Good news from Grandma: After the month in China Seth became a good eater! His eyes began to dilate as well. We could say that just trying the local Qingdao food caused him to improve his posture, open his eyes, to become more verbal and want to eat. His grandmother said, "we took him there and literally he could not see, he could not sit up. It's not in our mind that his eyes dilate." Today he can sit up in a high-chair. Seth's condition does not provide easy-fix answers. His family and doctors hope that the stem cell treatments can help improve his quality of life and compliment the other treatments he will continue to receive.
