Five-year-old Haley Goranflo has Batton's Disease, which can only be treated with stem cells. Haley and her mother were planning on taking the long trip two weeks ago, but airport officials stopped the family saying the girl was too sick to travel. Thanks to a U.S. Congressman, the trip will be hassle-free. "We're as pro-life as they are. We love our children. We'd do anything for em," said Haley's father. Haley's mother, Miranda said, "I just think that they would have a change of heart if they had two dying children with no other options. I doubt very seriously that they would let their children die." Haley's three-year-old brother also has Batton's Disease and will seek treatment when he's older. Copyright 2008 The E.W. Scripps Co.
