P A T I E N T I N T E R V I E W - M S ![]() NAME: Pierre Frey COUNTRY: Switzerland AGE: 50 DIAGNOSIS: Multiple Sclerosis – Relapsing / Remitting REASON FOR COMING FOR TREATMENT: The patient had suffered from MS for over ten years. An onset of pain in the three years prior to his treatment made seeking alternative treatment a necessity. TREATMENT: Umbilical Cord Stem Cell and Nerve Growth Factor Injections with Rehabilitation Therapy START OF TREATMENT: February 3, 2006 BEFORE THE TREATMENT: Patient suffered from a constant pain in his legs (specifically right calf) that had existed for between two and three years. The pain disrupted his balance and necessitated that he walk with a cane or support. He could not lift his legs from a horizontal position and his speaking was not fluent. He had difficulty controlling his bladder. AFTER THE TREATMENT: (March 3, 2006) See Video. The patient reported that there was no longer any pain in his legs, identifying his right leg as the one which had undergone the most improvement. He also reported that his convulsive shaking had ceased. He gained some control over his bladder. He could lift his legs off the bed and he could speak more clearly. His wife said he looked younger after he returned home from the treatment. During the treatment there was definite improvement, but a degree of unpredictability in their timing - some days he would show little change, while during other days there would be abrupt changes in his ability to walk or how much pain he felt in his legs. We will follow up with Pierre to see if he has further improvements in the coming months.
