Kyle Knopes was born with a neuro-muscular disease called Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 2. The disease affects the motor neurons' ability to function properly, resulting in continual loss of muscle and muscle movement. Life expectancy for SMA patients is between 15 and 30 years of age.

Condition After the Treatment

Kyle began rolling over onto his side regularly in physical therapy, something which he had not done in ten years. He saw increased strength in his arms, hands, neck, and jaw. His began to lift his left and right wrists. Kyle straightened his right arm for the first time.
