P A T I E N T E X P E R I E N C E – S T R O K E NAME: Stan Hildko ![]() COUNTRY: Hungary AGE: 3 (Born: April 15, 2003) DIAGNOSIS: Brain Injury - Extensive PVL dominantly affecting the right hemisphere with a porencephalic cyst - July 26th, 2004 REASON FOR COMING FOR TREATMENT: Stan was born by Cesarean Section two months prior to their expected due date. He had to have heart surgery which was successful but he got an infection which resulted in a brain injury resulting in a stroke and damage from hypoxia and cysts. TREATMENT: Umbilical cord stem cell and nerve growth factor injections with rehabilitation therapy START OF TREATMENT: May 6, 2006 BEFORE THE TREATMENT: His general physical state was good and he did not require any medicines. He could not crawl but would try to. He had hypertonia / spasticity with hypertonic tendons. His reaction time was a bit slow and he did not understand many words. He could not speak any words.
