This week's video is a bit of a change for us. It's not from a stem cell patient but from a doctor. Dr Klein, MD FACS became interested in adult stem cell patients (particularly Optic Nerve Hypoplasia patients as he's an ophthalmologist) when he heard about Cameron Peterson's plans to come to China in 2007. Since then he's observed numerous ONH patients before and after receiving treatments at provider hospitals in Qingdao, Hangzhou and other cities in China.

"It's not a magic bullet. It's not a panacea," he said during the interview. Dr Klein knows what a cure looks like. These treatments are not cures. But improving quality of life for a patient living with ONH can have far-reaching effects enhancing their engagement with society and reduce potential burdens in the future.
