Summer recently completed six weeks of adult stem cell therapy in Qingdao. Cody LeMaster, Summer's father, describes that nebulous term improvement as "things that she couldn't do before that she's able to do now." Stem cell patients often talk about these improvements they've seen in their condition. Summer's parents are both nurses back in the US. They know how to spot changes in a person's condition.

Neil Barron Will Continue With or Without Church's Support

For every patient with the support structure to mount a journey to China there are more who cannot. Neil Barron of Phenix, Alabama is putting his all into raising funds for stem cell treatment. Neil's story is painful but he's still marching on--even after the Catholic Church in his community yanked their support for his treatment just before he was scheduled to come to China. Over on Facebook, Neil is auctioning his art to still make the journey. A southern gentleman, he's the only person we know who's friends with Stephen Hawking and lists their relationship as "complicated".
